Our Story
Pups & Palettes was started by a mum from Melbourne's West who noticed something that didn't sit right with her: the enriching, joyful experiences available to kids in other parts of the city simply weren't showing up in her own community. She wanted to change that.
As a mental health professional, she understands deeply how creativity, connection, and the calming presence of animals can nurture a child's confidence and wellbeing. As a Stanford alumna, she brought the same rigour and care to building something that is not just fun - but genuinely good for kids.
The result is Pups & Palettes: small, intimate art sessions where children in Melbourne's West can paint, create, and bond with puppies in a safe, supervised, and beautifully organised environment. Because every child deserves that experience - not just the ones who happen to live on the other side of the city.

Our puppies are gentle, well-socialised, and absolutely love kids. They're selected for their calm temperament and are always supervised by our trained handlers throughout every session.

Safety First, Always
We know handing your child over to an activity involving animals requires real trust. Here's how we keep every session safe and stress-free:
Small groups only
Maximum 5 children per session so every child gets proper attention.
Supervised at all times
Trained handlers are present throughout - puppies are never left unsupervised with children.
Health-checked puppies
All our puppies are fully vaccinated, regularly vet-checked, and parasite-free.
Child-safe art supplies
We use non-toxic, washable paints and materials suitable for all ages.
Allergy awareness
Please let us know about any allergies when booking - we take this seriously.
First aid on site
A first aid kit is always on hand and our team holds current first aid certification.
